A ‘Kingsman’ character will indeed return from the dead for ‘The Golden Circle’

The first promotional image for Kingsman: The Golden Circle, released back in April, teased the potential return of a character killed off in 2014’s surprisingly good Kingsman: The Secret Service. Now, a photo from the set of the sequel seems to confirm that character’s resurrection.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle cast member Pedro Pascale posted the image to his Instagram account, and it certainly seems to make the character’s return clear. Of course, if you haven’t seen Kingsman: The Secret Service yet, you might want to steer clear of the photo — and the rest of this report — to avoid spoilers.

Pictured in Pascale’s photo is Colin Firth, the Oscar-winning actor who played secret agent Harry Hart (code-named “Galahad”)  in the 2014 film. Firth’s character met an untimely end in The Secret Service, but only after stealing the show with one of the film’s most memorable — and violent — fight sequences.

The promotional image that was released earlier this year hinted at Harry Hart’s return with a shot of his glasses over the caption, “Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated.”

If Firth is indeed returning for The Golden Circle, he won’t be the only one. Taron Egerton will reprise his role as the new Kingsman operative, Eggsy, and will be joined by Mark Strong returning as the team’s tech expert, Merlin. Among the newcomers in The Golden Circle will be Halle Berry as the head of the CIA, Game of Thrones actor Pascal as a character named “Jack Daniels,” and Channing Tatum as an unidentified American character. Julianne Moore will play the film’s primary villain, and both Jeff Bridges and Vinnie Jones will reportedly play supporting roles.

As if that wasn’t enough star power, Sir Elton John is expected to make a cameo in the film, too.

Original Kingsman writer and director Matthew Vaughn will also return behind the camera for a story that takes the British team of secret agents across the ocean to the U.S.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle hits theaters June 16, 2017.

MORTAL Official Trailer (2020) Nat Wolff Fantasy Movie HD
A Norwegian film with most of the dialogue in English (along with English subtitles), Mortal is a fantasy action movie inspired by Norse mythology with sci-fi elements integrated into the plot. Eric (Nat Wolff) wakes up in the wilderness to discover that he not only has terrible burns but that virtually everyone he touches dies. He meets with a psychologist named Christine (Iben Akerlie), who tries to help after discovering his powers are controlled by his emotions.
Mortal was well received by viewers and earned mixed reviews from critics. Jared Mobarek of The Film Stage calls the movie a “fascinating take ... with some cool set pieces and a willingness to increase stakes by killing characters and dealing with the complexity of the aftermath.”

Hans Zimmer doesn’t think he’ll ever score a Marvel movie
Chris Evans looks into the distance heroically in a still from the movie The Avengers.

Over the course of a truly legendary career, Hans Zimmer has created some of the most iconic movie scores of the past 30 years. Zimmer's career has taken him to every different genre, but during a recent interview on Happy Sad Confused, Zimmer said that he doesn't plan on joining the MCU anytime soon.

“Are you yourself kind of superheroed out? I’m kind of surprised the official MCU has never come calling or if they have, you’ve said no?” host Josh Horowitz asked. Zimmer has provided scores for Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Wonder Woman 1984, and X-Men: Dark Phoenix, so he's definitely not opposed to superhero movies in general.
