Leaked pics of Sony Ericsson ‘Hallon’ Gingerbread handset

Engadget got its hands on more leaked pictures, this time showing a new Sony Ericsson device. While it isn’t the rumored PlayStation phone, this new Ericsson model appears to be packing a big photographic punch. As you can see from the picture below the device appears to have a very large front-facing camera. Could this hint at a focus on facial recognition or video calls? Maybe HD video?

The images come from a Picasa account filled with test pictures and seems to be on the Vodafone Germany network. More interesting, one of the pictures shows Sony’s Timescape UI, a modification of Android 3.0 (Gingerbread). Like many Android manufacturers, Sony is choosing to modify the core Google Android interface to make its devices look slicker and different from the competition.

Also interesting is the lack of a search button on the bottom of the unit, a common feature of Android phones. Pocketnow guesses that the device is codenamed “Hallon” and has a model number of MT15i.

What do you think of the new device?

Honor Magic V4 camera leak hints at another benchmark-setting foldable
The Honor Magic V3 standing on a table.

If this new leak is to be believed, the upcoming Honor Magic V4 might have one of the best cameras we've ever seen in a foldable phone. A follow-up to the Magic V3, the Magic V4 is still yet to get an official set of specs, but a leaker just pulled the curtain on what we might expect from the new phone, including a 200MP periscope telephoto camera. This could put it right on the top of the ranking of the best foldable phones.

As revealed by Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the Honor Magic V4 might come with an impressive set of specs, but let's dig into the camera stuff first. The leaker teases that the phone will sport a 50MP 1/1.5" primary sensor paired up with a 200MP periscope telephoto camera. That periscope camera will feature a 1/1.4" type sensor and impressive 3x optical zoom.

Alleged Render of iPhone 17 Air.

Apple is not really a brand that goes for big hardware claims. The company is often late to the game, but serves a refined formula that is usually the best in the smartphone segment. The upcoming ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air might change that, and in quite a spectacular fashion.

Leakster Universe has shared on X that the upcoming “slim” addition to the iPhone 17 series will offer a thickness of just 5.5mm across. The post adds that save for the side profile, the iPhone 17 Air will be exactly as tall and wide as the iPhone 17 Pro.

The side of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is one of this year's most-anticipated devices and the final addition to the S25 lineup, and now we have what might be the most accurate render of it yet. Shared by Ice Universe, the render shows a phone with bezels that match those of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, but with a slightly smaller screen.

Unfortunately, the image only shows the front of the phone. Without a look at the back, we can't confirm other details like the rumored 200MP camera.
