T-Mobile may lower its rates for unlimited data, sources tell TmoNews. The blog says that T-Mobile will lower the price of its “Even More individual unlimited plan to $79.99, down $20 from $99.99. For “Even More Plus” customers, the savings will be deeper with a price reduction to $69.99. The new plans should launch on Feb. 23, just in time for the release of the Samsung Galaxy S 4G.

This is only the latest move T-Mobile has made to try and compete with the stiff competition of AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint. It has been aggressively airing commercials touting its 4G network and even ran a promotion last week that, for two days, offered any phone free with a two-year contract.

In addition, the carrier is refocusing its efforts on offering lower prices on smartphone plans (seen here) and offering a better selection of Android phones than the competition. It has also launched a quazi-4G network using HSPA+ technology, which offers higher speeds than traditional 3G data connections.

Data storage has become something of a major issue as people begin filling up internal and external storage drives with photos, documents, and videos. Now, T-Mobile's latest partnership with Google aims to fix the problem with a single deal. The mobile company is introducing a new tier of storage plan that gives customers the 2TB of storage included with its previous tiers, as well as unlimited space for photos and videos in Google Photos.

The deal isn't live just yet but will be available on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, to all T-Mobile customers. It will be the most expensive storage plan priced at $15 per month, but includes everything and more from the cheaper plans such as full-resolution photo storage, photo-editing tools, VPN services, and extended trials for multiple Google services like YouTube Premium and Google Stadia.
