The Sony Bravia 7 QLED got an 8 out of 10, and every size is on sale

We here at Digital Trends always keep our eye on the three leading TV brands. In no particular order, we’re talking about Sony, Samsung, and LG, but today, we’d like to focus the spotlight on the company that’s had its foot in the TV game the longest: Sony. If you haven’t heard, this week the manufacturer has discounted every size of its popular Bravia 7 Series QLED, including the 55-inch version.

Purchase at Best Buy, Crutchfield, Walmart, and a handful of other retailers, and you’ll take home the 55-inch Sony Bravia 7 QLED for only $1,300. The full MSRP on this set is $1,600.

Why you should buy the Sony 55-inch Bravia 7 Series

We tested the Bravia 7 back in November 2024, and editor at large Caleb Denison said, “The Bravia 7 has insanely great picture quality.” When it comes to picture processing and upscaling, it’s tough to beat the power and performance of Sony’s Cognitive XR processor. The Bravia 7 delivers excellent picture quality and intense SDR brightness levels. Viewers can also expect a wide color gamut with rich, lifelike tones and a solid contrast ratio. While the viewing angle and glare reduction could be a bit better, neither minor issue is enough of a deterrent for us.

The Bravia 7 features HDMI 2.1 connectivity on ports 3 and 4, as well as VRR and ALLM support, making it a great choice for console and PC gamers. The TV has a native 120Hz refresh rate and fast response time, too, so you shouldn’t see any motion blur when watching or playing fast-moving content. We’re also glad to report that the TV supports every HDR format except HDR10+.

Apps, casting, and smart home controls have been made possible by Google TV OS, Sony’s choice for UI and web-connected features for the last several years. We wish the Bravia 7 would stay on sale forever, but chances are it’ll be back to full price before we know it. So, go ahead and save yourself $300 when you purchase the Sony 55-inch Bravia 7 Series 4K QLED today!

Samsung S95D 4K OLED TV.

The brightest TVs on the market are QLEDs made by brands like Samsung, Sony, Hisense, and TCL. But what if we told you that a QD-OLED could achieve the brightness levels of a QLED? It’s true! Samsung’s flagship S95D Series delivers astonishing colors, contrast, and brightness levels, and it’s also one of the best OLED TV deals of the week:

Right now, when you purchase the Samsung 55-inch S95D 4K QD-OLED at Samsung, Amazon, or Best Buy, you’ll only end up paying $1,600. The full MSRP on this model is $2,400. We tested the S95D back in June 2024, and editor at large Caleb Denison called it “The most bright room-friendly OLED TV we've tested.”
