Star Wars Battlefront gets a lot right, but here’s what’s still missing

Easily one of the most anticipated games of the year, Star Wars Battlefront has brought The Force to gaming, but it’s also left many gamers conflicted. Though the details of every map, blaster and Stormtrooper help to create an authentic Star Wars experience while playing, post-battle is where some of its flaws are brought to the light. Just weeks into it’s debut it’s already clear that some substantial things are missing from the game that might have a big impact on how long people will continue to play once the dust settles and the new game sheen wears off.

Proton Drive has a new macOS app and it looks great

As well as email and VPN services, Swiss company Proton also offers cloud storage. Think Google Drive, but end-to-end encrypted. The macOS app for Proton Drive has been around since 2023 but today, a 2.0 version has been released, rebuilding the app from the ground up.

The app lives in your desktop menu bar, allowing you to access files and open up your Drive in browser with just a few clicks. The dropdown box also shows you the status and activity on your most recent files, so you can see when changes are syncing and when things go wrong. Upload and download speeds are also improved compared to the old app, giving users up to double the speed.

Nvidia makes some of the best graphics cards to be found in laptops, but some of these GPUs might be closer in terms of performance than you'd expect. The laptop version of the RTX 5080 has been benchmarked, and it's shockingly close to the RTX 5090. Are the laptops equipped with the RTX 5090 still worth buying?

Notebookcheck was able to compare the RTX 5090 and the RTX 5080 laptop GPUs under ideal circumstances: In two iterations of the same laptop. The cards were both paired with AMD's Ryzen 9 9955HX CPU, which removes a lot of the usual benchmarking discrepancy you'd run into in laptops. When both are installed in similar systems, we can get a good feel of how each card performs without external factors, and that is the case in these benchmarks.
