Walmart rolls back prices of these baby monitors for Black Friday

Whether or not you’re a parent, everyone knows that caring for babies is a full-time job. Putting them down for a nap in their crib may be the only time parents find time to rest or — that luxury of luxuries — shower. New parents can have some peace of mind to take time for a little self-care with a baby monitor installed. This little piece of tech has become more advanced than just the two-way radio of yesteryear. You can now find models that will help you keep a watchful eye with a Wi-Fi-enabled security camera focused on your baby.

If you’re new to parenting or gift-shopping for people who are, Walmart plays fairy godmother this Black Friday and Cyber Monday as they roll back prices of the best baby monitors from Owlet, Motorolla, and Summer.

Owlet Cam

— $99 ($50 Off)

Gone are the days when you helplessly stay attuned to your baby monitor, trying to decipher the sound only to barge in and find out, it was you prancing on creaky floorboards that woke up your baby. With the Owlet Cam Wi-fi Video baby monitor, you’ll be able to see and hear exactly what happens in the nursery on your smartphone through a livestream video with two-way audio. The 1,080-pixel HD camera even has a night vision display and a 130-degree wide-angle lens to give you complete visibility day in and day out. All you need to do is connect it to Wi-Fi and download the Owlet app; rest assured only those you trust would be able to stream footage from the Owlet Cam.

The Owlet Cam also has a room temperature sensor to boot and comes with a wall mounting kit for a hassle-free installation. It usually lists for $149 but Walmart’s $50 discount lets you have it for just $99.

Owlet Smart Sock 2

— $199 ($100 Off)

The Owlet Smart Sock 2 would be an awesome complement to the Owlet cam and is likewise a great baby monitor on its own with the ability to track the baby’s heart rate and oxygen levels while they sleep using clinically-proven pulse oximetry. Information is sent directly to your phone and can be viewed through the Owlet app. Preset zones then allow you to gauge when levels are normal or outside the desired range.

You are provided three washable socks that would fit most babies from 0-18 months and one smart sensor that connects to the base station via Bluetooth up to 100 feet away. From there, you’d be able to keep tabs on real-time wellness stats including sleeping patterns as well as review past recordings. The base station also glows green to assure everything is okay and notifies you with lights and sounds as soon as it detects something is wrong. And though it works wirelessly, it is important that you remember to charge it when its 18-hour battery life lapses. Get it now for only $199 instead of $299 from Walmart.

Motorola MBP33XL

– $86 ($24 Off)

The Motorola MBP33XL is another baby monitor that comes with a video feed but through a 3.5-inch color, zoomable screen. And if you want to be able to monitor your entire family, you can install up to four more cameras (sold separately) and be able to switch through any of them seamlessly. Infrared night vision is also in place so you can always see regardless of the time, while temperature sensors allow you to make sure your baby is comfortable.

It also features two-way audio with the integrated high-sensitivity microphone that allows you to talk to your baby as if you’re there in the same room. And to keep your baby sleeping soundly, you can program it to play five lullabies. It connects wirelessly through Wi-fi and Bluetooth within a range of 1,000-feet, and you’ll be alerted when its battery needs to be recharged. Normally priced at $110, you can get the Motorola MBP33 for only $86 from Walmart.

Summer Infant In View 2.0

— $89 ($31 Off)

The Summer Infant In View 2.0 is much like the Motorola MBP33XL that lets you know how your baby is through a live high-resolution LCD video display. It does step up with a 5-inch zoomable screen that is comfortable to hold, but you can opt to flip out the kickstand for tabletop convenience. The baby monitor is also designed with top-of-the-line infrared technology which means that even when all the lights are out, you’ll be able to see with the automatic night vision feature.

Not only does it give parents much-needed reassurance, its 100% digital camera also has a soft glow night light to help soothe the baby. It typically goes for $120, but Walmart gives you a break with a $31 price cut that plummets its price to just $89.

Two of the biggest sales events of the year are Amazon's Prime Day and Black Friday, but how do you know which is the best one to shop? And are there key differences between the two events? With Prime Day coming up fast now that the Prime Day date for 2022 has been confirmed, you may be thinking you should favor that sale. Read on as we weigh up Prime Day versus Black Friday and explain everything you need to know about the two sales events.
What is Prime Day?
Prime Day is Amazon's annual sales event to mark its birthday. It's exclusively for Amazon Prime members rather than anyone with an Amazon account, but it's possible to access the deals via an Amazon Prime free trial if you subscribe at the same time as the event.

After two years of the event moving around due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Prime Day 2022 returns to its traditional July slot and will run July 12 and July 13. As well as that, there will be early deals commencing June 21 in the run up to the big event.
