Batman: Arkham Knight creator Rocksteady Games is readying the final batch of downloadable content for its open-world comic book brawler, revealing that players can expect to see a final set of Most Wanted missions in addition to new character costumes.
December’s downloadable content for Batman: Arkham Knight finds Killer Croc, Mister Freeze, Mad Hatter and Ra’s Al Ghul starring in their own Most Wanted missions. The core Arkham Knight campaign featured Most Wanted missions for series supervillains like Two-Face, The Penguin, and Firefly, and the new DLC missions will follow a similar structure.
Also arriving in December’s DLC is a new costume for Batman inspired by the 2008 film The Dark Knight, along with a Batmobile skin that trims down Arkham Knight‘s tank-like vehicle and gives it a new coat of paint, returning it to its original design from Batman: Arkham Asylum.
December will also mark the launch of Crime Fighter Challenge Pack #5, which adds five new AR challenges.
December’s DLC for Batman: Arkham Knight will be free to download for players who purchased the game’s Season Pass. This month’s additions will be the final Season Pass content released for Batman: Arkham Knight.
Previous DLC released for Batman: Arkham Knight added new vehicle skins, character costumes, and in-game AR challenges. A free update released in November allowed players to choose among a selection of playable characters within the game’s AR Invisible Predator Challenges.
Recent DLC also added a pair of story missions to Arkham Knight‘s campaign, including the “A Flip of a Coin” mission starring Robin, and the “Catwoman’s Revenge” mission featuring Catwoman. Both “A Flip fo a Coin” and “Catwoman’s Revenge” also featured their own unique collections of challenge maps.
While console versions of Batman: Arkham Knight performed to expectations, the PC edition suffered from numerous issues at launch, resulting in a suspension of sales. The PC version re-emerged in October with bundled tweaks and fixes, though many players still report inconsistent performance and other lingering issues.
The final batch of downloadable content for Batman: Arkham Knight will launch digitally for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PCs via Steam on December 22nd.
