Borderlands 2 GOTY boxBorderlands 2 is set to be repackaged as a Game of the Year Edition bundle that hits stores in North America on October 8, 2013 for $59.99, according to an announcement from 2K Games and Gearbox Software. In addition to 2012’s base game, the set also includes all four story DLC add-ons – Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate’s BootyMister Torgue’s Campaign of CarnageSir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt, and Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep – as well as the Krieg and Mechromancer character packs, the first Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack (the first level cap boost), the Creature Slaughter Dome (a one-time pre-order bonus), heads and skins from the original Collector’s Edition release, and all of the Premiere Club content from the original launch window release.

Yes, that’s a lot. Missing from the bundle are all other heads/skins packs (there have been several) and the second Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack, which is set for release on September 3, as we revealed earlier this week. Also absent is TK Baha’s Bloody Harvest, the first of three confirmed “Headhunter” DLC releases. We’re still not sure when that newly confirmed add-on arrives or what it will cost, but the Halloween theme suggests it’s due in October, likely later than this GotY release.

2K and Gearbox will be at PAX Prime with Borderlands 2 to give fans a first look at Bloody Harvest, a single-mission DLC pack that culminates in a boss fight with the Pumpkin Kingpin. The whole idea with this release, as well as the other Headhunter packs, is to pit players against a boss that leaves behind a new head to wear once its been defeated. You can probably guess what the Pumpkin Kingpin’s head looks like. HINT: It’s not a mango.

To embody Wonderlands’ Tiny Tina, motion capture actor had to become a gremlin
Tiny Tina looks straight ahead in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands.

Released in March 2022 (and finally available on Steam this week), Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands serves as a long-awaited successor to Borderlands 2: Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep. In a similar vein to that DLC, the larger story of Wonderlands takes place during a game of Bunkers & Badasses that is run by Tiny Tina as she sets up and guides player’s characters through the fantasy landscape.

And while Tiny Tina has been voiced by Ashly Burch (also known for her voice work as Aloy in the Horizon series and Chloe Price in Life is Strange) since her initial introduction in Borderlands 2, the fan-favorite character truly came to life in Wonderlands thanks to the art of motion capture.

2K reportedly publishing two Lego sports games
Two characters race in a Lego Worlds neighborhood.

Publishing giant 2K is partnering with Lego to produce multiple sports games, including a soccer title that is set to release later this year, according to a report from Video Games Chronicle.

Set to launch close to the start of this year's FIFA World Cup, 2K's upcoming soccer game is reportedly being developed by Sumo Digital, which has previously developed Crackdown 3, along with numerous entries in the Sonic Racing franchise. It's somewhat ironic then that 2K's second Lego game will be an open-world racing title developed by Visual Concepts, which itself has made multiple sports titles for 2K, including NBA 2K22 and WWE 2K22. The 2K Lego racing game will reportedly release in 2023. According to VGC's sources, a third Lego sports game based on a major sports franchise is also in development.
