Borderlands 2 writer Anthony Burch tweeted an image this morning that seems to have inadvertently revealed the title of the irreverent cooperative shooter’s next DLC expansion. A poster for something called “Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep” can be seen in the background of a photo of Gearbox’s Steve Gibson sleeping adorably on a couch in what is presumably the Borderlands developer’s offices. It is the first time that title has appeared anywhere, and Burch’s tweet, spotted by Stealthy Box (via neoGAF), was promptly deleted.
Gearbox teased a new Borderlands 2 expansion at PAX East last month with a video depicting Tiny Tina playing a fictional Dungeons & Dragons-like game called Bunkers & Badasses with the other Borderlands characters. Given the content of that video, “Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep” seems as likely a name for the new DLC as any. This morning’s inadvertent tweet leaves little doubt.
Tiny Tina, notably voiced by Burch’s little sister, Ashly, is a rambunctious tween who in Borderlands 2 engages in such wholesome activities as blowing up trains and kidnapping sociopathic bandits. If “Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep” really is the next Borderlands 2 expansion, it will be the fourth after Captain Scarlett and her Pirate’s Booty, Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage, and Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt.
