Geek art: R2-D2 as Link fighting Ganon on a Bantha

We don’t usually post artwork, but how often do you see a painting like this? For some strange reason, artist Andy J. Hunter has mashed up Star Wars and The Legend of Zelda together. Here we see R2-D2 dressed as Link and holding a Master Sword. His enemy is none other than Ganon riding a Bantha on what could be Tatooine or a Zelda desert. On his personal site, Hunter has a sea of strange mashups. Have you ever wondered what ET would be like as a Zombie film?  Mario vs the WWE? What if the Iron Giant and King Kong met?

Of course, I don’t know if this is quite as strange as that picture of Chewbacca riding a giant squirrel and fighting Nazis. There are a few fun Darth Vader mashups as well. Have you ever wondered what Vader would look like if he were half Batman? Look no further.

Celeste composer gives fans a new glimpse at cancelled Earthblade
A screenshot from the now-cancelled Earthblade.

Lena Raine, the composer for Celeste and the cancelled Earthblade, has released the soundtrack on Bandcamp. You can listen for free or buy it for yourself for just $7, and 50% of all earnings will be donated to a non-profit organization. While it's not the same as getting to play Earthblade, Raine says the music for the game is "highly dynamic" and is arranged to represent and match the emotional arc of the game.

Raine says the soundtrack is heavily influenced by composers like Vangelis, Joe Hisaishi, and Yoko Kanno — much of it coming from classic anime like "Nausiccaa of the Valley of the Wind" and "Cowboy Bebop."

After a rocky beta, Tripwire has delayed Killing Floor 3 indefinitely
Pouring lava on Zeds in Killing Floor 3.

Killing Floor 3 has been delayed to an "undecided date" later in 2025, but that might not be the worst news in the world. The Tripwire Interactive team announced the update via social media earlier today, saying they "missed the mark" with the game and need time to rework it.

"We're working together on a timeline to address many of the common issues players had during the beta, including performance/stability, UI/UX, lighting, and weapon feel," the team writes in a post on BlueSky.
