How to solve the Three Eyed Gate puzzle

You will find the Three Eyed Gate puzzle, also known as the Light Chamber puzzle, on your way to finding the Idol of Ra. You will need to direct six beams of light onto the correct symbols on the wall to open the path forward.

Step 1: Use the mirror in the main room and point it at the top-right symbol. This will open a door to your left.

Step 2: Go into this room and direct the light through the crack in the wall back into the main room.

Step 3: Now shine the main light on the top-left symbol and the right mirror on the middle symbol on the right side to open a door on the right.

Step 4: Go into this room and pick up the mirror and bring it to the empty receptacle in the other open door on the right side of the main chamber to reflect light to the third mirror in the main room.

Step 5: Use the left mirror to hit the bottom-left symbol now.

Step 6: Reposition the middle mirror to aim at the top-right symbol.

Step 7: Aim the right mirror at the middle symbol on the left.

Step 8: Turn the central mirror again, this time to the bottom right.

Step 9: Finally, use the left mirror to hit the middle symbol on the right side.

This will result in all three locks unlocking, and the gate will finally open for you.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: everything we know so far
Indiana Jones standing in the jungle.

Grab your fedora, whip, and pistol because Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is plotting a course to consoles soon. After being announced via a small teaser in 2021, we're now finally starting to put the pieces together on the mystery that is this new title from MachineGames.

While many very popular and successful games have been inspired by the Indiana Jones film franchise, including Uncharted and Tomb Raider, Indy himself has yet to star in a true action-adventure game worthy of his legacy. Will this game be the one to remind audiences who the true pioneer of set-piece action and globe-trotting puzzle-solving is? Only time will tell, but we can at least guess based on all the clues we've unearthed.

Xbox chief explains why Indiana Jones is coming to PS5: industry facing lots of pressure
Emmerich Voss holds an artifact in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

At Gamescom, Xbox Chief Executive Officer Phil Spencer explained why Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will be coming to PlayStation 5 next spring despite being a first-party Xbox game. Spencer notes that it's part of the reality of a changing industry and a need for growth within Microsoft.

Earlier this year, Xbox shocked players when it announced that four of its exclusive games would be going to PS5 and Nintendo Switch. At the time, Spencer explained on the Xbox Official Podcast that the move was part of a shifting strategy to bring its games to more players. Spencer specifically denied that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle was one of the four games going multiplatform on the podcast. That was technically true, as it wasn't part of the initial slate of multiplatform releases.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is more than Xbox’s Uncharted
Indiana Jones rappels into a tomb in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

Creating an Indiana Jones video game is a daunting task. It’s not just that you have to honor an iconic film franchise that fans are very protective of; you also need to make it stand out from Uncharted, a beloved series that is already ostensibly a thinly veiled Indiana Jones adaptation. It’s a challenge, but one that MachineGames seems to have cracked with Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

Ahead of its latest trailer reveal at Gamescom Opening Night Live, I got a deeper look into the upcoming action-adventure game. While previous looks have focused on story, the latest presentation gives a much deeper look into its combat, exploration, and more. While there are some parallels to Uncharted, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle feels more indebted to Wolfenstein, Hitman, and even The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay. That makes it feel much more like an Indiana Jones game than a boilerplate tomb-raiding adventure.
Tools of the trade
Set after Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Great Circle begins at Marshall College, where someone steals a priceless relic. Jones teams up with photojournalist Gina to recover it, only to discover that there’s a wider conspiracy at play that goes through Nazi territory. With the help of some companions, they set out on a globe-trotting adventure that involves the villainous Emmerich Voss and the titular Great Circle, a ring that connects the world’s biggest landmarks (an idea that came from producer Todd Howard).
