The ongoing Make War Not Love promotion pits Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II, Total War: Attila, and Company of Heroes 2 players against one another in a contest to see which title can recruit the biggest amount of in-game followers by the end of the week. Participation in the event is not required in order to claim its freebies.
Starting today, gamers can add Jet Set Radio, Golden Axe, and Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit to their Steam libraries free of charge. Downloaded copies will still be playable after the event ends, and more games will be given away over the course of the week.
The Steam edition of Jet Set Radio revamps the rollerblading, graffiti-tagging Dreamcast platformer with widescreen support and developer interviews in addition to the original game’s full single-player campaign. Steam’s version of Golden Axe emulates the arcade classic’s acclaimed 1989 port for the Sega Genesis.
Today’s final freebie, Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit, is a stylish and creative 2D platformer that originally launched for consoles and PCs in 2012. In addition to the core game itself, players can also pick up Hell Yeah‘s “Virtual Rabbit Missions” and “Pimp My Rabbit” DLC packs for free as part of this week’s promotional event.
Starting on February 18th, Sega will give away free copies of its classic Sega Genesis brawler Streets of Rage 2, horror-themed first-person shooter Condemned: Criminal Origins, and squad-based third-person shooter Binary Domain for free via Steam.
Future Steam freebies from Sega will become available as Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II, Total War: Attila, and Company of Heroes 2 meet specific recruitment thresholds throughout the week.
