Kirby’s Dream Buffet includes some surprises if you have Forgotten Land save data

If you have game save data for Kirby and the Forgotten Land, there’s a sweet surprise waiting for you in Kirby’s Dream Buffet. The latest party game featuring the pink puffball will award you with three music tracks from Kirby and the Forgotten Land that you can play during races.

When you return to the home plate after finishing any competition — Gourmet Grand Prix, Single Race, Single Minigame, or Single Battle Royale — for the first time, you’ll get a chocolate-covered vinyl record-style cookie containing a trio of songs from Kirby and the Forgotten Land, complete with a message thanking you for playing the game. The track list includes the theme song Welcome to the New World!, the song that Kirby cruises along to in car form early in Forgotten Land.

The Kirby and the Forgotten Land songs won’t be the only tracks on your party playlist. If you happen to own other Kirby titles for the Nintendo Switch, Kirby’s Dream Buffet will also gift you three bonus songs each from those games to play to your heart’s content while gobbling up every strawberry in sight. The additional melodies will come from Kirby Star Allies, Kirby Fighters 2, and Super Kirby Clash.

Meanwhile, Nintendo announced that Kirby and the Forgotten Land is offering players 300 Star Coins and four food items when you use the Present Code “DREAMBUFFET.” You can use this code between now and September 17. Kirby and the Forgotten Land: All secret mission objectives
Three Waddle Dees escape a cage in Kirby and the Forgotten Lands.

The Waddle Dees are captured, and only Kirby can save them! Kirby and the Forgotten Land brings Kirby to a new world -- and dimension -- in this 3D adventure through a bright and colorful environment, but with an implied dark history. The adventure itself is all about rescuing the cute and cuddly Waddle Dees to repopulate Waddle Dee Town, which opens up tons of options and new things to do for Kirby between the normal platforming stages. However, more than half of the objectives in each level are hidden from you, but without completing them you can't free every Waddle Dee.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land has six major areas, and plenty of levels within them all. That alone adds up to a big chunk of content, but there's almost no chance anyone will be able to fully complete every stage on their first try thanks to the secret missions. These missions are unique to each level, and are not revealed to the player until they beat a stage at least once, meaning you will, at minimum, have to go back a second time to do these extra missions, if not more. However, if you follow this guide and know ahead of time what all the secret mission objectives are for each stage in Kirby and the Forgotten Land, you can restore Waddle Dee town to glory in no time.

Nintendo has done a lot of growing in terms of adding new elements to its games through technology in the past decade or so. It was the last major player to embrace things like online play, DLC, and subscription services, yet have finally begun trying to catch up to the competition. The company still has a long way to go in most of those cases, but in others, it's doing things hardly any other console manufacturer does. In Kirby and the Forgotten Land, for example, Nintendo has a system where players can claim special rewards via the Delivery Waddle Dee if they know how, and best of all, they're completely free.

Present Codes were actually included in the demo for Kirby and the Forgotten Land, though at that time there were only two that the player could redeem. In the full version of the game, there are far more that can be claimed, but you also need to meet one requirement before you can start receiving your free gifts. Plus, even when the option is open to you, you will still need to know the codes to access the extra items. You can find these codes around the world, but we've already scoured every inch of the Forgotten Lands so you don't have to. Here are all the Present Codes in Kirby and the Forgotten Land and what prizes they will give you.

For the series' first attempt at unleashing the pink puffball with an endless appetite in a full 3D environment, Kirby and the Forgotten Land had a major challenge in adapting the purely 2D combat of the past to fit the new perspective. Copy abilities in particular needed to be completely retooled to work, while also being fun, creative, and exciting to use in new ways. While the arsenal Kirby has access to this time around might not seem like a lot, each copy ability is far deeper than they've ever been. For a full breakdown of all the new tricks up Kirby's sleeve, here are all the copy abilities explained in Kirby and the Forgotten Land.
