This week and every week for the remainder of the NFL season, we will bring you weekly game predictions courtesy of EA Sports’ Madden NFL 25. Our methodology: Each week we will update the rosters using the game’s roster download feature to make sure the game lineups reflect the real teams, then we’ll simulate the week’s match-ups using the Franchise Owner mode. We’ll record the simulation’s scores, its best players of the week, and the injury reports, then post these results each Saturday. This makes the Thursday game something of a litmus test (Madden 25 is 3-0 so far this season on Thursday games) – you can use this info for fantasy or gambling purposes. Or you can ignore it entirely. What does Madden know about football, anyway?
When it comes to injuries, Madden 25 remains bloodthirsty.
When it comes to injuries though, Madden 25 remains bloodthirsty. This week the injury list in Madden 25 has grown significantly. And while we are focusing on the offensive side of the ball when it comes to reporting those injuries, rest assured that the game does not discriminate and defenses have been decimated as well. The list of injured players reads like a war memorial.
This week Madden says goodbye to St. Louis Rams wide receiver Chris Givens (not to be confused with New Orleans wide receiver Chris Givens, who really is on the Injured Reserve list). According to Madden 25, Givens will suffer a complete ACL tear and be out for the remainder of the year. If you have Givens in a fantasy league don’t go dropping him just yet though. Last week it predicted that San Diego Chargers tight end Antonio Gates would suffer a season ending injury. Instead he went on to record 124 receiving yards.
Still, Madden 25 did predict that the Chiefs would open the season 3-0. Maybe the game is on to something.
