Uncharted: Fortune Hunter for iOS and Android unlocks Uncharted 4 bonuses

Uncharted series star Nathan Drake makes his first-ever appearance on iOS and Android devices this week with the launch of Uncharted: Fortune Hunter, a mobile-exclusive puzzler from Sony.

Sony also revealed that players who solve Uncharted: Fortune Hunter‘s mysteries will unlock bonus content in the PlayStation 4 series sequel Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, which is set for release next week.

Uncharted: Fortune Hunter features characters and settings from previous Uncharted games, but shifts away from the series’ standard third-person shooter gameplay in favor of mechanics that are better suited for touch screens. The game features hundreds of puzzles in which players draw paths and tap on-screen hotspots in order to guide Drake to each level’s exit.

Available as a free download supported by in-app purchases, Uncharted: Fortune Hunter offers six major questlines that extend across four unique gameplay environments. After reaching specific gameplay milestones, players can unlock a series of “skins, relics and one-time-use boosters” for Uncharted 4‘s multiplayer mode.

Uncharted: Fortune Hunter‘s switch to puzzle-oriented gameplay mirrors Square Enix’s recent mobile releases Hitman Go and Lara Croft Go, which featured similar touch-driven, turn-based mechanics.

Nathan Drake’s mobile debut promotes the upcoming launch of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, which is set to hit the PlayStation 4 next week. Developed by franchise creator Naughty Dog, Uncharted 4 is pitched as the final entry in the series, wrapping up storyline elements that have lingered since 2007’s Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune.

Fortune Hunter is the latest in a string of Uncharted games and related media that have premiered throughout the last year. October of 2015 saw the launch of Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, a PlayStation 4 compilation release that bundled upgraded versions of Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End launches digitally and at retail on May 10th.

Netflix games may be coming to TVs soon, as revealed by new iOS app

It looks like Netflix might be expanding its gaming offerings to TVs soon, as a Netflix Game Controller is now on the iOS App Store. Netflix has yet to announce or comment on the purpose of the app, but a message shown when the app boots up confirms that it's coming.
Netflix has slowly made its way into the gaming industry over the past couple of years, acquiring studios and adding a dedicated game section to its mobile app that lets players download premium mobile games. The library includes some great games like Poinpy and Before Your Eyes, but has yet to break into the mainstream, likely due to its somewhat obscure availability. This new app, which was preemptively listed on Apple's storefront by Netflix and lines up with leaks from earlier this year, indicates that Netflix Games are coming to the TV.
The description for the app states that "this Game Controller app pairs with your TV and allows you to play games on Netflix using your phone or mobile device." After downloading and booting up the app, Digital Trends discovered two more messages asking players to "choose a game on your TV and follow the directions to connect" and that "Netflix Games on TV are in beta. Some devices may not be supported at this time."
All of this points to an impending beta rollout for games on Netflix's TV apps, which has not been announced yet. As such, we don't have any idea about which televisions or games the iOS app or Netflix Games on TV will support just yet. Regardless, this looks like a massive evolution for Netflix's gaming efforts, especially as it gears up to release a cloud gaming service.
Netflix declined to comment on the program when asked by Digital Trends, but it did refer us to previous statements it made about its intentions to break into cloud and TV game streaming.

Fortnite has received plenty of exciting new weapons in Chapter 4 Season 2, and in typical fashion, Epic has also vaulted some of last season's weapons to clean up the loot pool. Among the weapons vaulted for Season 2 is the Thunder Shotgun -- but weirdly, it can still be obtained, as it appears Epic possibly overlooked one NPC who drops it.

Anyone who wants to score the Thunder Shotgun in Season 2 can head over to Frenzy Fields and look for the NPC named Sunflower who walks around the farm. Simply eliminate her and pick up the weapon she drops. It's unclear if this is actually something Epic missed, or if the team just simply didn't want to bother changing up Sunflower's loot drops. Either way, it's currently the only way to obtain the Thunder Shotgun.
