First up on July 21 is a PlayStation 4 port of Thatgamecompany’s Journey. Originally released for the PlayStation 3 in 2012, Journey is a 3D platformer with inventive co-op mechanics and a wordless narrative that progresses as players traverse an expansive desert. Users who purchased digital versions of Journey on the PlayStation 3 will receive the PS4 edition free of charge upon its launch.

Metanet Software’s 2D side-scroller N++ premieres on July 28. Following up on the 2008 Xbox Live Arcade release N+, Metanet’s sequel features a series of difficult platforming challenges in which players control a lithe but fragile ninja character who must race to each level’s exit as quickly as possible.

17-bit’s Galak-Z: The Dimensional is the next featured PLAY release, debuting on August 4. Galak-Z combines “classic anime, ’90s spaceship shooters, and precision arcade gameplay” for a unique series physics-based space battles.

Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture closes out the PLAY promotion on August 11. Developed by Dear Esther creator The Chinese Room, Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture takes place in the moments leading up to an apocalyptic event, and promises to “explore the choices people make when they’re faced with world-shattering events beyond their control.”

All featured games are available at a 20-percent pre-order discount for PlayStation Plus service subscribers. Sale prices are active in the week leading up to each game’s release.

PlayStation Network members who pre-order two or more games during the promotion will receive a digital code that gives a 10 percent discount on any future PSN purchase. Codes will be issued on September 1, and must be redeemed by September 30.
