‘Other-level for’ Soca Forever
Ibrahim Konteh, co-conceptualiser of Soca Forever, says all is set for the first-ever beach edition of the event on Sunday at Fort Clarence Beach in Portmore, St Catherine.
“This will be the first time for Soca Forever at the beach, but definitely not the first time delivering a quality product. We wanted something to really kick off the summer with a bang and, for many, summer means parties, summer means beach, so why not a high-energy party at the beach? Add the powder and water elements and you have the recipe for an unforgettable experience,” he told the Jamaica Observer.
Music will be provided by Bloodline Franco and Brush1, ZJ Matt Camps, Kryptic and Fyahman, Richie Ras, Kevi The Kinetic and Zess, and ZJ Romzii and Shella.
The cooler inclusive event will also feature powder and water trucks.
Meanwhile, Konteh says the event will maintain its momentum for meeting the demands of patrons.
“For us, even the preparation for this event has been exciting. Soca Forever has earned the reputation of being fun-guaranteed, and with what we have conceptualised for this staging that the fun factor will be taken to a whole other level,” he said.
Adding that ticket sales have been increasing at a steady pace, Konteh says he is almost sure that the fete will outdo expectations.
“Soca Forever has already been dubbed ‘The Best Fete Ever’ by patrons. Now, add the elements of water, powder, soca, cooler, coupled with the proven track record of The Council in delivering first-class entertainment, and there’s no way this won’t be one of the marquee events of the summer,” he continued.
