Xbox Game Pass finally brings Outriders to PC today

Microsoft announced 11 new games coming to Xbox Game Pass in October, some of which are available starting today. These latest additions include a variety of genres, including shooters, fighting games, and fishing games. The most notable addition is Outriders, which is finally coming to PC.

Starting today, Xbox Game Pass subscribers can play indie-developed game Into the Pit and third-person shooter Outriders for PC. Into the Pit, a completely new addition to the service, comes to cloud, console, and PC. Outriders already launched on Game Pass for console, so now it’s more widely available than it already was.

Three more games wash in with the next wave on October 21. Dragon Ball FighterZ, Bandai Namco’s fighting game based on the iconic anime series, drops for cloud and console. Meanwhile, turn-based Echo Generation launches on day one for Xbox consoles, cloud, and PC. Lastly, Everspace 2 gives players a glimpse into a space shooter experience with a game preview.

The rest of the titles come to Game Pass on October 28. Highlights include Age of Empires 4, the latest installment of the popular real-time strategy series, which drops day one on Game Pass. The Forgotten City also stands out as a widely acclaimed time loop title.

Xbox Game Pass also reached a milestone by surpassing 100 touchscreen-enabled games for mobile. A few highlights include older Yakuza games and indie hit Boyfriend Dungeon. Subscribers can play these 13 titles starting today, plus the already extensive collection listed on the Xbox website.

Xbox has hit the ground running in 2025 with an already amazing lineup of Game Pass titles for January, plus a developer direct with more information about some upcoming Xbox Series X games like Doom: The Dark Ages and South of Midnight. Those will come sooner than you think, but we still have two waves of titles coming to the service in February to keep you occupied. Sure, Avowed is right around the corner but that doesn't mean you won't have anything to play before then. Not a huge number of games are arriving early this month, but we still managed to pick out a nice diverse cast of titles to add some excitement to your weekend.

What better way to prepare for the Super Bowl than with a massive Madden marathon? Madden NFL 25 is the latest entry in the gold-standard football video game. This entry introduced the updated FieldSENSE physics system that makes every hit, juke, and tackle look almost as real as real life. There are a host of other under-the-hood improvements to make this entry the closest thing you can get to being on the field yourself, but it's the gameplay that counts and Madden 25 doesn't fumble the ball. You can play quick matches to simulate who will win the upcoming game, or take a player through their entire career.

This game is all about dynamic interactions and emergent gameplay as every element and object behaves as it would in the natural world. Fire will spread, ice will slow enemies, and rocks will shatter as you launch them with your telekinetic powers. Your creativity will be rewarded both in combat and exploration. There's a heavy Shadow of the Colossus vibe with the giant enemies here that you can scale to get a better angle of attack. If you love experimenting with systems in a third-person action RPG with a cool art style, this is the perfect sandbox to play in.
