The Sony Bravia 7 QLED got an 8 out of 10, and every size is on sale

We here at Digital Trends always keep our eye on the three leading TV brands. In no particular order, we’re talking about Sony, Samsung, and LG, but today, we’d like to focus the spotlight on the company that’s had its foot in the TV game the longest: Sony. If you haven’t heard, this week the manufacturer has discounted every size of its popular Bravia 7 Series QLED, including the 55-inch version.

Purchase at Best Buy, Crutchfield, Walmart, and a handful of other retailers, and you’ll take home the 55-inch Sony Bravia 7 QLED for only $1,300. The full MSRP on this set is $1,600.

Why you should buy the Sony 55-inch Bravia 7 Series

We tested the Bravia 7 back in November 2024, and editor at large Caleb Denison said, “The Bravia 7 has insanely great picture quality.” When it comes to picture processing and upscaling, it’s tough to beat the power and performance of Sony’s Cognitive XR processor. The Bravia 7 delivers excellent picture quality and intense SDR brightness levels. Viewers can also expect a wide color gamut with rich, lifelike tones and a solid contrast ratio. While the viewing angle and glare reduction could be a bit better, neither minor issue is enough of a deterrent for us.

The Bravia 7 features HDMI 2.1 connectivity on ports 3 and 4, as well as VRR and ALLM support, making it a great choice for console and PC gamers. The TV has a native 120Hz refresh rate and fast response time, too, so you shouldn’t see any motion blur when watching or playing fast-moving content. We’re also glad to report that the TV supports every HDR format except HDR10+.

Apps, casting, and smart home controls have been made possible by Google TV OS, Sony’s choice for UI and web-connected features for the last several years. We wish the Bravia 7 would stay on sale forever, but chances are it’ll be back to full price before we know it. So, go ahead and save yourself $300 when you purchase the Sony 55-inch Bravia 7 Series 4K QLED today!

This LG 65-inch 4K TV is on sale — from $600 down to $350
LG 65-inch UT70 Series 4K TV

It’s not every day that any 65-inch TV costs less than $400, so you can imagine our surprise when we learned that the LG 65-inch UT70 Series 4K LED is marked down to $350 today at Best Buy! This TV is normally $600, so that's a pretty sweet $250 discount. LG is one of the best TV brands in town, and while they may best be known for premium OLED TVs, LG’s LED models are fantastic, too.

Why you should buy the LG 65-inch UT70 Series
The LG UT70 Series is the type of budget-friendly TV that may not get as bright or colorful as more advanced models but can certainly still hold its own. Whether you plan on using this as a second screen or your main TV, the UT70 leans on LG’s a5 AI Processor Gen 7 for picture processing, 4K upscaling, and low-res content smoothing. So, even if you’re watching non-HD movies and shows, this LG TV will still optimize every frame to ensure you’re getting the best picture possible at all times.

The Sony A95L is one of the best TVs ever made, and that’s a statement we’ll be willing to stand by for years to come. Unfortunately, this flagship Sony QD-OLED is extremely expensive, which may push a lot of folks away from such a great TV. Every once in a while, though, this TV goes on sale, including right now!

For a limited time, you can order the Sony 65-inch A95L 4K QD-OLED directly through Sony, or through Amazon, Best Buy, and a few other retailers, and you’ll pay $3,000. That’s still a healthy chunk of change, but that’s also a $500 discount off the TV’s full price.
