Samsung recently unveiled the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. However, there’s a rumor that another foldable phone from the company will be released before the end of the year. However, this news comes with a huge asterisk. According to reliable leaker Max Jambor, Samsung reportedly plans to launch another foldable phone, possibly the “Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra” or “Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim.” This new phone may be announced around the same time as Samsung’s latest tablets, likely in October.

The catch? The new phone might only be available in South Korea and China.

There is no additional information about this potential phone or how it will differ from the recently announced models. Some sources, like 9to5Google, speculate that the limited release may be due to each country’s restrictive sales channels, but nothing has been confirmed.

Earlier this year, there were rumors that Samsung planned to introduce two different Galaxy Z Fold 6 models in 2024, including one possibly called the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra, which might have had a bigger display than previous Galaxy Z Fold versions. Of course, that didn’t happen. Instead, we got one Galaxy Z Fold 6, which officially arrives beginning next week.

The new phone includes several upgrades compared to last year’s model, the Galaxy Z Fold 5. It has a slightly larger cover display, a lighter body, and a newer chipset — the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy. The phone also comes in new colors. However, it’s $100 more expensive than the previous model, so it is at least $1,900 before trade-ins and potential discounts.

Samsung has confirmed that the upcoming Galaxy A series — the A36 and A56 — will be unveiled on March 2. While it didn't mention the Galaxy A26, multiple leaks suggest it might also make an appearance.

Last week, these three phones appeared on the Chilean Samsung Service website. That told us they were likely coming soon, but didn't provide an exact timeframe. Samsung will debut the phones on March 2, and they will likely be available for purchase shortly after.

Samsung’s multi-fold phone is still far away, and that’s a good thing
The Huawei Mate XT.

Samsung's long-rumored and much-discussed tri-fold phone is on its way, but no one knows when it will arrive. Yesterday, Korean news outlet ETNews reported that the handset was likely to launch alongside the Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip this summer, but now industry insider Max Jambor says it will arrive "at a later point in time."

Although ETNews cited "multiple industry sources," Jambor and other tipsters like Sanju Choudhary hold conflicting stances. Jambor shared his theory on X, and later responded to a comment saying, "They might give us a teaser, but it won't be fully unveiled." Ross Young suggested a similar 2026 launch window in December, as well.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 leak shows an old design in a thinner chassis
Leaked render of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7

Samsung is currently in a rather boring rut when it comes to smartphone innovation. The likes of Huawei Mate XT, Oppo Find N5, and Honor Magic V3 have redrawn the lines of competition with bold designs and impressive hardware. But it seems a course correction for Samsung will finally materialize this year.

Leakster OnLeaks (via Android Headlines) has shared alleged product renders and a video depicting the Galaxy Z Fold 7, which is poised for a global debut in the second half of 2025. The fundamental design is a familiar affair, but the side profile is noticeably slimmer compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
