Camouflage Dance Attack

Recommended Videos

A brave urban ninja decides to attack the local populace with a display of his moves. Basically all these people just got served, yo.

Crystal Ball Performer May be Made of Magic

This video is of a Japanese street performer named Okotanpe, and he is the crystal ball whisperer. Check out the impressed audiences who discovered this guy in a park in Tokyo, and have since propelled him to a modicum of fame. The guy even has his own website, and as we all know, if you have your own website you must be famous. That was sarcasm, by the way, but the guy is pretty awesome. This video is from a year ago, and while it is likely circulating more now because of what is going on in Japan, it stands on its own.

Japanese Dog Stands By Its Friend Amid the Wreckage

With the scale of the catastrophe(s) in Japan, it is almost becoming difficult to see the small picture through the larger details. There is an old quote that has typically been misattributed to Stalin that says “One death is a tragedy, one million deaths are a statistic”. Regardless of who actually said it, the point is sadly valid. With so much going on in Japan, and so many dead, it is almost impossible to feel the full magnitude of the disaster. The human brain simply cannot process the full magnitude of over 10,000 dead (probably closer to 14,000). You would go insane. So it is the little moments that really bring the emotion home. Seeing the wreckage is one thing, but seeing a lone woman crying in what used to be a street is something much more powerful. In this clip below, while it might seem somewhat trivial to focus on a dog, it brings the disaster to a more personal level. The pup in the video stayed by its injured friend in the ruin to protect it, then found rescuers and brought them to the wounded dog. Both animals were rescued and are doing fine.

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost Present Star Wars

This video is in honor of the recently released Paul, which stars Pegg and Frost and hits theaters today. It pretty much speaks for itself.

Singer Assaults Eardrums 15 Million Times

This video below is tough to describe. Not because of the content, but because the singer, Rebecca Black, is a teenage girl, and it would be kinda mean to go into too much detail regarding her strange and mechanical pronunciations of key words, like “fun” and “Friday”, both of which are choruses for the song. It would also be somewhat gauche to suggest that the group that found and promoted her, Ark Music Factory is to music what MTV’s reality shows are to television shows. And suggesting that the lyrics are infantile as Black reminds us that Sunday comes after Saturday, mentioning that the beat is generic and saying that everyone in the video seems to be on some fantastic and unheard of drug that has them operating in a way that only they understand would be just plain tactless. Many people have seen this video and showed it to their friends as a joke, and yet nearly 17 million people have watched this clip in just over a month which means that some of you, somewhere, must actually enjoy it as a song. Behold the world’s newest viral sensation, Rebecca Black’s “Friday”.

Several toys stare in horror in a scene from the Pixar film "Toy Story 3."

James Mangold didn’t want Walk Hard to stop him from making music biopics
Walk Hard The Dewey Cox Story.

Every time a new music biopic hits theaters, people make some sort of joke about how Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story should have killed the genre completely. Director James Mangold should take those comments more personally than most, given that the movie Walk Hard is most directly parodying his 2005 Johnny Cash biopic Walk the Line.

Instead of taking the suggestion to heart, though, Mangold has made another music biopic with A Complete Unknown. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Mangold explained why he didn't want to let all the Walk Hard jokes deter him.
