Prey (2022)
Instead of setting a Predator movie in the future, Dan Trachtenberg went to the past for a Predator prequel with Prey. In 1719, Naru (Amber Midthunder) is a young Comanche woman who aspires to be a warrior and hunter like her older brother. While on a hunt, Naru notices strange flashing lights in the sky coming from an alien spacecraft.
The pilot of the shuttle is a violent alien predator who hunts humans and kills them in the most brutal ways. With the predator wiping out most of the warriors in her tribe, Naru must step up, overcome her fear, and face off against the extraterrestrial. However, a group of colonizers interrupts Naru’s plans, though they can’t escape from the predator’s grasp either. Prey is spectacular and feels like the best Predator installment since the original in the 1980s.

Plus One (2019)
If you’ve ever had to bring a date to a wedding or went stag, Plus One will be extremely relatable, especially if you’re in your late 20s and early 30s. Ben King (Jack Quaid) is a hopeless romantic who dreams of marrying the perfect girl. His friend, Alice Mori (Mr. and Mrs. Smith’s Maya Erskine), recently broke up with her longtime boyfriend.
After a wedding, Ben and Alice share a hotel room and confess their hatred toward attending these events without a significant other. Believing they can help each other out, Ben and Alice agree to be each other’s dates for future weddings. Alice gets to have someone by her side to protect her from answering questions about her failed relationship. In exchange for his company, Alice will help Ben meet women. Quaid and Erskine turn the charm up to a 1o in this delightful rom-com.

Happy Gilmore (1996)
Leave it to Adam Sandler to make a raunchy sports comedy about golf, a sport with a reputation for being uptight and super serious. Happy Gilmore (Sandler) aspires to be a pro hockey player. Unfortunately for Happy, his stick skills are mediocre at best, which ends his dream. Much to his surprise, Happy discovers a hidden talent: driving a golf ball.
Happy’s unorthodox swing draws the attention of Chubbs Peterson (the late Carl Weathers), a former golf pro who agrees to train Happy and refine his skills. Despite hating golf, Happy sees the sport as a way to help his grandmother (Frances Day) avoid foreclosure on her house. Happy’s temper and shenanigans make him an unpopular player with other tour members, including Shooter McGavin (Christopher McDonald). However, Happy shakes up the sport and begins to find some success. All he has to do now is go to his “happy place” and avoid using that temper …

Mrs. Doubtfire (1993)
Euphegenia Doubtfire, dear. That is the name of one of Robin Williams’ greatest characters. Before becoming Mrs. Doubtfire, Daniel Hillard (Williams) is a recently divorced voice actor who wants nothing more than to spend time with his three kids. However, Daniel’s ex-wife, Miranda (Sally Field), is granted sole custody, meaning he cannot see the kids on a full-time basis.
Disheartened by the custody battle, Daniel devises an elaborate ruse to pose as Miranda’s new housekeeper. With the help of his brother (Harvey Fierstein) and some clever prosthetics, Daniel gets the gig as Euphegenia Doubtfire, an elderly British nanny. By acting as Mrs. Doubtfire, Daniel slowly becomes a better and more caring parent. However, a chance dinner threatens to derail the entire operation in this hilarious family comedy.

Die Hard with a Vengeance (1995)
To steal a quote from 21 Jump Street, Die Hard with a Vengeance is “the Sam Jackson one.” After narrowly escaping death twice, Detective John McClane (Bruce Willis) is fired from his job for his poor attitude and behavior. However, McClane springs into action when a mysterious terrorist, Simon (Jeremy Irons), requests his presence for a deadly game of “Simon Says.”
Simon forces McClane to solve riddles and play his games, while the mastermind initiates his real plan. During one of the games, McClane encounters Zeus Carver (Samuel L. Jackson), who intervenes and saves the cop. Now in this together, McClane and Carver go on a wild goose chase throughout the city, playing Simon’s games in hopes of catching the terrorist.
