Sauron has returned in The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season 2 teaser trailer

An ancient evil has returned — and its name is Sauron — in The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season 2 teaser trailer. Amazon unveiled the footage at its upfront presentation in New York City on Tuesday.

The teaser features the return of Charlie Vickers as Sauron, the Dark Lord who must now “rely on his own cunning to rebuild his strength and oversee the creation of the Rings of Power.” Sauron has a new look — “one that will aid him in deceiving the denizens of Middle-earth.” However, Galadriel (Morfydd Clark), Elrond (Robert Aramayo), Arondir (Ismael Cruz Córdova), and more are preparing to stop Sauron from completing his sinister mission.

The Rings of Power season 2 is produced by showrunners and executive producers J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay. Directors on season 2 include Charlotte Brändström, Sanaa Hamri, and Louise Hooper.

The brief logline states that a brother and sister uncover a terrifying ritual at the secluded home of their new foster mother.

Anthony Mackie is back as John Doe in the Twisted Metal season 2 teaser trailer.

This tournament is a treacherous demolition derby hosted by Calypso (Anthony Carrigan). The winner receives a single wish that can change their life. Returning for season two is fan-favorite Sweet Tooth (Will Arnett and Joe Seanoa, aka Samoa Joe), the murderous clown. Recurring guest stars include Saylor Bell Curda, Lisa Gilroy, Richard de Klerk, Patty Guggenheim, Tiana Okoye, and Michael James Shaw.
Michael Jonathan Smith serves as a writer, executive producer, and the showrunner of Sweet Tooth. The series is inspired by the vehicular combat video game from Sony Interactive Entertainment. Directors this season include Phil Sgriccia, Bill Benz, Iain MacDonald, and Bertie Ellwood.

The Rings Of Power renewed for season 3, time jump confirmed

There will be more adventures in Middle-earth's Second Age. Prime Video announced Thursday that The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power has been renewed for a third season.
The season 3 renewal was expected, with Prime Video reporting that the series has garnered over 170 million viewers worldwide.

The Rings of Power season 3 is in pre-production and will film at Shepperton Studios in the UK this spring. Furthermore, Prime Video announced three directors — including Charlotte Brändström, Sanaa Hamri, and Stefan Schwartz — will be part of season 3. Brändström and Hamri previously directed past episodes of The Rings of Power.
