What’s new on HBO and Max in March 2025
Danny McBride in The Righteous Gemstones.

When it comes to library titles, March is a very quiet month for HBO and Max. There are a handful of great additions, including the Men in Black trilogy, the first two Ghostbusters films, Stand by Me, Goodfellas, and the original Carrie. There just aren't many exciting options among the older films. It's far more enticing to see Hugh Grant embrace a villainous persona in A24's horror film Heretic on March 7.

There are still a few episodes left of The White Lotus season 3 in March, but HBO and Max are also premiering the fourth season of The Righteous Gemstones as well as the new drama When No One Sees Us. That's the kind of programing that gave HBO its reputation for being one of the best cable networks.

What’s new on Paramount+ in March 2025
Robbie Williams is very devolved in Better Man.

It's strange that Paramount+ is touting Better Man as one of its top new additions in March 2025 without giving it a premiere date. It's an unusual music biopic about singer Robbie Williams, who portrays himself as a CGI anthropomorphic chimpanzee for some reason. The film got great critical reviews, which did not translate into box office success. But now Better Man has a chance for a second life in streaming.

There are two new original series debuting this month on Paramount+: Happy Face and MobLand. But the film to really get excited about is the streaming debut of Strange Darling, one of the best thrillers of 2024.

Everything coming to Netflix in January 2025
Two people run in Back in Action.

Is it that time of year already? A new beginning is just around the corner, and for many, it's a time of resolutions, of weight lost and gained, and of promises made and broken. For Netflix, it's just another month packed with quality movies, TV shows, and games.

In January 2025, the streamer will launch several high-profile projects, including a Harlan Coben mystery series, Missing You, Cameron Diaz's comeback movie, Back in Action, season 2 of the action series The Recruit, a new Wallace & Gromit movie, and the new Western series American Primeval. There's also some non-Netflix-produced stuff as well, including all seasons of Younger, the first three Spider-Man films, and the debut of The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live.
