The Digital Trends Awards highlight the best of the best for consumers, revealing the greatest stuff from the confusing maze of tech gear. With its Top Tech of CES 2017 awards, presented at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show, Digital Trends will showcase the outstanding products as well as the truly bad-ass.

For a product to be eligible for inclusion, our editors will need to see and it use no later than Dec. 31st. If your product is coming, but cannot be seen until January, we require advance notice and a showing prior to the show opening.

We’ll choose multiple finalists across different product categories.

We will also give away a Best in Show award to the most interesting piece of tech at CES.

To be considered for the Digital Trends Top Tech of CES awards, products must be aimed at regular folks (not businesses) and make their formal debut at CES 2017. Products will be judged both on the innovative technology they bring forth and how that tech can enhance people’s lives in new ways. Multiple entries will be accepted, although we encourage you to submit only the products you feel are truly best-in-class. Digital Trends will honor embargoes and NDAs.

Winners will be revealed on Friday, January 6. We’ll hand out awards to all winners in person, at your show-floor booths.

Thanks and looking forward to seeing everyone in Las Vegas!

Come see Digital Trends at Booth #SL-4 at CES 2017!
Located at the top of the escalators in the south hall.

January 5 through 7, we’ll be live on air conducting interviews, playing with new products, and discussing the hottest tech at CES. Join us!

Deathloop, Ratchet and Clank dominate 2021’s Game Awards nominations
Colt from Deathloop aiming his pistol.

With a year's worth of games nearly behind us, Geoff Keighley's Game Awards are on the way to recap everything we've played and dole out some awards. As with most years, the list of nominees for 2021's Game Awards is packed with triple-A games including Life is Strange: True Colors, Psychonauts 2, Resident Evil: Village, and Returnal. However, Deathloop and Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart dominate the list, with nine and six nominations respectively.

We'll see how many awards each game takes home when this year's Game Awards show airs on December 9. A roundup of some of this year's nominees in the biggest categories -- including game of the year, best game direction, most anticipated game, and more -- can be found below. There are 30 categories overall this year.

The best COVID tech of CES 2021: Smart masks and sanitizers
Razer Project Hazel

As a COVID-19 vaccination slowly rolls out across the country, the end of a nearly yearlong pandemic may be inching closer, but there's still work to be done to protect everyone, from frontline health care works to those of us working from home. Fortunately, many tech companies focused their development efforts in 2020 on products that can help combat the spread of the novel coronavirus -- and many of those products were unveiled at CES 2021.

From personal products like smart face masks and sanitizers built for car consoles to business solutions like autonomous UV robots, CES 2021 has been full of interesting, and potentially lifesaving, technology debuts.

A year like none other deserved a gadget show like none other, and CES 2021 delivered. The first all-digital show in the 55-year history of CES arrived as a necessary measure to keep attendees safe amid COVID, leaving the entire industry to experience via webcam what once occupied a convention center the size of a small city. It was enough to make us pine for the days when all we had to complain about were crusty press lunches and getting smacked with selfie sticks.

But it wasn’t all bad! While we missed the electricity of the live events, the camaraderie of coworkers, and the delight of meeting new people on buses, CES 2021 proved that the technology industry is uniquely suited to carry on in an all-digital environment. These are the companies that invented half the tools, after all. Press conferences went off without a hitch, companies shipped us prototypes to play with, and Digital Trends' unique CES Experience Center made it possible to virtually come together as an editorial team and share our impressions with you, even from afar.
